TODAY’s NAME:
This day is called ARNOLD’s DAY. He was a Franciscan monk, who in the year 1303 went to China as a missionary.
Arnold is the patron for all blacksmiths and horse dealers.
The day’s name in Belgium is
SAINT ELOI. He was a French saint
from Noyon. He lived in the years 588-660.
He was in a way a colleague of Arnold ( see above ), because he is also the
patron of horse dealers – and in addition also of veterinarians, engineers,
gold smiths and other metal workers. So,
he is a busy saint.

on my blog: https://knowing-about-this.blogspot.com
I want to add
that December 1 has a special tradition in Denmark. You start using a CALENDAR CANDLE. It has all days from December 1 to 24 printed
on it. And you burn the candle from one
day to the next day every day. This is
part of traditional Danish HYGGE.
QUESTION FOR TOMORROW:
Koh-i-noor - what is that? And which history is linked to it?
